About Us
✨ How It Started
Evolving with Ka’Cheena didn’t start as a brand — it started as a calling.
🎥 Watch Ka’Cheena share the story of how Becoming transformed into Evolving with Ka’Cheena.
At first, it was Becoming with Ka’Cheena, a safe space I envisioned for young women. As a teenager, I often wished I had someone to help me set boundaries, build confidence, and believe in my worth. I wanted to become that beacon of hope and light for the next generation of girls who needed what I once needed.
But as the work began to grow, I realized something powerful: this wasn’t just for young women. Mothers, grandmothers, peers my age, and even women older than me were craving that same support — the guidance, tools, and encouragement to stand in their power.
That’s when Becoming transformed into Evolving. Because evolving is lifelong. It’s not just for one age group, or one season. It’s for every woman, every community, and every soul ready to grow.
🌿 Why “Evolving”?
My background in social work shaped the heart of this work. Social work teaches you to meet people where they are — without judgment, without shame, without assumptions. That’s what I do with Evolving with Ka’Cheena:
- I honor your story.
- I meet you in your present.
- I guide you in shaping your next chapter.
Wellness is not one-size-fits-all. It shifts as we shift. That’s why our motto is:
Wellness evolves with you.
🌍 Our Mission
Our mission is to create safe, healing spaces where individuals and communities can grow with confidence and alignment. Through journaling, yoga, meditation, and creative expression, we help women and communities:
- Reclaim their voice and power
- Build healthy relationships and boundaries
- Heal past wounds and embrace new beginnings
- Step boldly into the best version of themselves
🌟 Our Vision
We envision a world where healing is accessible to everyone — not a privilege, but a practice. A world where:
- Teen girls are taught confidence and self-worth in school.
- Mothers have tools to care for themselves while caring for their families.
- Women in prisons and shelters are reminded of their divine power.
- Churches and community centers are filled with spaces of release and renewal.
Every time I step into a classroom, a yoga studio, a prison, a nonprofit, or a corporate space, I carry this vision with me. I tailor every workshop, every service, every experience to the community I’m serving — because true evolution is personal.
💫 Meet Ka’Cheena, Our Founder
I wear many titles — mother, healer, author, social worker, entrepreneur. But more than anything, I am a woman evolving, just like you.
- As a social worker, I bring empathy, structure, and a nonjudgmental approach.
- As a healer and teacher, I blend yoga, meditation, journaling, and spiritual practices.
- As a mother, I carry empathy for women balancing roles, identities, and dreams.
I hold a Master of Social Work from the Brown School (George Warren Brown School of Social Work) at Washington University in St. Louis (2019), where I specialized in Social & Economic Development (Domestic) as a Kathryn M. Buder Scholar. Before that, I earned my B.A. in Sociology from Bloomfield College (2016), where I was awarded the Distinguished Sociologist honor. My academic foundation grounds my work with structure and depth, while my lived experiences bring heart and authenticity to every offering.
Over the years, I’ve led workshops with nonprofits, schools, and community organizations — guiding teens, mothers, entrepreneurs, and even seniors through tools for healing and transformation. My approach is never one-size-fits-all. I design each experience around the people in front of me, because true growth always starts where you are.
🤝 An Invitation
Whether I’m working with a classroom of teens, guiding yoga in a church, or leading women through journaling circles, my intention is always the same: to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to evolve.
If you’re ready to begin — whether through a book, a class, or bringing me into your organization — I’d love to connect.
