  • 2 cans navy or pinto beans, drained & rinsed
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (smoky or tangy)

  • 1 small green pepper, diced
  • ½ red onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion & green pepper until soft (about 5 minutes).
3. Stir in smoked paprika, garlic powder, and beans.
4. Add BBQ sauce and your choice of honey, maple, or agave. Mix well.
5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until thickened & bubbly.
6. Let cool slightly before serving.
